Product Description
iRobot Roomba RED Cordless Robotic Vacuum Cleaner - Wouldn't be nice
to have a robot servant? It's not science fiction anymore.
Roomba is the first practical robot for your home. It vacuum
cleans floors all by itself roaming through your room like a
pet, sucking dirt and dust all along its path. There are no
cords or wires. It simply runs on a rechargeable battery.
Red is the Roomba that attracts. While all Roombas work hard
and eliminate dirt, it's Red that gets the stares. What's
more, behind the beautiful design is a vacuuming robot that
does what Roombas do: it cleans. So...to help reduce the
monotony of cleaning your floors, get a Roomba. It goes where no vacuum has gone
before.

"After One Year-I'd Still Rate It a
10" By, Townhomer (Pittsburgh)
"I've had my Roomba Red for a year, and I still marvel that
someone didn't come up with this a LONG time ago. Think about
how much time washing machines and dishwashers save you -- you
don't have to waste time vaccuuming anymore either. Granted,
the Roomba takes longer to vaccuum a room than I would, but
it's much more WILLING. It's so easy to use, that I use it more
often. My house is cleaner and healthier. And it
does a quality job. It does edging and gets under
furniture--things I don't always do when I'm pushing an
upright vaccuum. I recommend using the Virtual Walls. They
keep Roomba away from dangers like steps and Christmas
trees, and they help in large "great rooms," where Roomba
tends to wander. Basically, if you earn more than $8 an
hour, this thing will pay for itself in 20 hours of time you
don't have to spend vaccuuming. As far as getting this as a
gift, I wouldn't be offended. To me it says, "Honey, I want
you to spend more time with me, and less time with the
house!"
"Passed the wife test!"
By, hilo "hilo" (honolulu, hi USA)
"This thing is good. my wife makes us(me/2sons) sweep/vacuum
the floors every weekend. what a hassle; and we cannot meet her
quality standards. she can see dirt that we can't. i tell you,
we were on the verge of revolting. we do not want to spend the
weekend sweeping the house and making the floors clean enough
to eat off of. Enter ROOMBA. Tried it out in our foyer,
hallway, kitchen and dining room. mix of carpet/hard-floor.
then asked her what she thought. reply: "not bad"
translation: "this meets my standards, you guys don't have
to sweep the floors anymore" had so much fun w/it i swept
the whole house. even did the kids rooms. amazing the amount
of lint it picks up from the carpets. and the algorithms
must be pretty clever. the thing finds its way along the
edge of the walls and in/out/between doorways, end tables, and piles of misc junk. This is
serious stuff. can't wait for them to bring out the robotic
mop. and what about a rug shampooer? something to scrub the
tub? clean the toilet? wash the car? paint the house? throw
batting practice?"
